FERRARI 410 Superamerica

EXTREMELY RARE !!!

This is an original sales brochure for the extremely rare Ferrari 410 Super America.

The front cover shows beautiful artwork by Antonio de Guisti. It carries the stamp of the Dutch distributor that issued the brochure: Maasland in Voorburg, the Netherlands, a distributor of great reputation that still resides at the same address! Nowadays, they are Alfa Romeo dealers but also imported Maserati for a great length of time and if I am not mistaken, also DeTomaso. There is a smaller stamp above it which is unreadable.

I believe that this brochure was issued in 1957 as it seems to be covering the Series I Superamerica.

Remember, the Ferrari company was only 10 (TEN!) years into its existence when this brochure was issued!

I believe it is reference # M-139

The cover measures 22.5 x 14 cm or some 9 x 6 inches and opens to twice that size.

It is in ENGLISH.

The RH page shows technical details such as the 5 liter V-12 engine that puts out a mighty 340 HP and when you would have combined that with the 9/28 final gear, it would have given a 163 MPH top speed. This was 1957!

The condition is absolutely fabulous for its age (it is 42 years old!), no tears, no folds, almost no shelf-wear. The only drawback is that it had holes punched into it which have been restored and which are visble in the various scans.

It has an excellent provenance, having spent most of its life in the collection of a famous brochure collector here in The Netherlands. I acquired this and some rare Porsche and Maserati brochures from the estate of the above mentioned collector. The fact that this restored example was the only 410 Superamerica brochure in the collection, shows how rare it really is.

The brochure is 100% ORIGINAL.
